The first community shopping center in Babylon has opened in the 24th of August 2017 by Babylon Development Company s.a.r.l which is focusing on providing indoor-outdoor shopping experiences that will enhance the Iraqi communities.
Today, BDC Mall is offering a unique shopping, dining and entertainment experiences, where classically influenced architecture combines with impeccable landscaping, joyful spaces and an exceptional array of amenities all meet together.
Based on the traffic design and functionality of the mall, BDC has designed the mall to have a gross leasable area (GLA) of 10,000m².
The merchandise mix has been created based on a number of factors, such as international standards for malls of such size, successful benchmarks for the GCC region as well as the local market study taking into account the project site location, the city level macro-economic picture, existing and future demand and retail supply and the nature of competitor offerings.
